Regarding “Told he couldn’t take kitten on MetroLink, St. Louis man stomped it to death, police say” (June 19):
Was it really necessary to feature a picture and article about the miserable sadist stomping a kitten to death at a MetroLink station?
What in the name of decency was the news value of such a disturbing story? Was it your intent to shock, dismay, horrify or to make news of an act of unmitigated evil? Was it news fit to print? I think not.
